Come già ci aspettavamo, salvo rivolgimenti delle ultime ore, saranno quasi sicuramente le Paradise la squadra russa di pattinaggio sincronizzato che parteciperà alle Universiadi di Torino 2007.
Le due squadre che parteciperanno al mondiale saranno invece selezionate dal Campionato Nazionale Russo che si svolgerà subito prima delle universiadi, dal 10 al 12 gennaio 2007.
Le squadre in lizza per questa partecipazione sono le Paradise (St.Petersburg), che hanno vinto l'edizione 2006 e, classificandosi quinte al mondiale. hanno guadagnato la seconda squadra alla Russia, seguite da Tatarstan (Kazan), Spartak Leader (Ekaterinburg) e Dream Team (Samara).

Per mettere in risalto il concetto che le squadre di synchro sono inscindibili anche in Russia, riporto di seguito anche la nota con con cui la Federazione Russa ha annunciato i risultati del mondiale.
A proposito del 5.o posto raggiunto, senza voler con questo fare alcuna ipotesi di miglior piazzamento, ricordo che le Paradise speravano in qualcosa di più, ma che in Russia, nel 2006, vigeva ancora il sistema di giudizio 6.0 e questo potrebbe anche aver alterato la percezione del risultato possibile.
