Re: DOVE VANNO I RUSSI IN FERIE D'ESTATE????

It's very sad if travelers have problems with health abroad, espesially if they need hospitalization...

In fact, there are many thing about which you should know before buying medical insurance policy. The situation described by Mistero tells me that men from Russia had cheap insurance policy, I meen that his insurance company was not very reliable.

Usually if you buy travel insurance, abroad you should pay themself and ask medical report in English from the doctor. Also you should keep all bills for treatment and medication. It's better if they are in English and shows the exchange rate of local currency to EUR or USD for the day of service. All this documents you should provide as soon as possible to your insurance provider, when you came to your native country.

Also you can buy medical insurance policy for you and your family, which covers your treatment in any point of the world. The best international insurance companies are Bupa International, Cigna International, Aethna Global and Allianz Worldwide. They have 24/7 assistance centers, free telephone lines, they are reliable for payments, they have nice customer services, have multilingual staff and can propose flexible insurance plans. Also they have the networks of the hospitals and clinics worldwide and can provide direct billing with medical institutions. It mean that patient do not pay clinic, insurance company pay directly to a doctor or hospital.

But this polices are rather expencive. Usually big international companies buy international medical insurances policies for their employees, who work abroad or have very often international business trips.

Some Italians in Ukraine have Allianz insuranse policies and they are covered for the whole range of medical services. It makes their life easier

But in any case it's better not to be sick.
